Min Jeong Kye earned her PhD in Zoology at University of Goettingen, Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Germany.

After a postdoctoral trainee in University of California and a research fellow in Harvard medical school, she established her own research group as a junior group leader in Institute of Human Genetics, University of Cologne.

She is a trained neuroscientist with great interest in RNA, protein synthesis, human genetics, human stem cells and gene therapy.
